Tight food production schedules demand quick and reliable testing to ensure that all products meet a range of vital quality control requirements, including foods that are salmonella-free. With this is mind, SDI Europe has developed a simple, fast and releiable lateral flow assay test to spot Salmonella. The company says that RapidChek for Salmonella is a quick and economical test that is easy to use and has AOAC-RI approval. The proprietary enrichment broth provides users with a sample which is ready to test in 24 hours. The results are delivered in just 10 minutes assay time. The tests are stored at room temperature and this eliminates the need for a 'heat kill' step, thereby saving time.
