Biotrace and Pall to market air monitors

Biotrace International, a manufacturer of industrial microbiology and life science products, has given Pall, a filtration, separation and purification specialist, exclusive global marketing and distribution rights to Ascotec environmental air monitoring products for the pharma industry.

The two companies will also work together on the development of products for the rapid detection of contamination. Biotrace's Ascotec products are used to monitor the quality of air and compressed gases in the production environment wherever cleanrooms are required, as well as in other clinical environments, such as hospitals. Ken Frank, corporate vice-president of Pall and president of the BioPharmaceuticals division, said: "The addition of the Ascotec air sampler to our rapid microbiology platform, including the Pallchek monitor, gives customers around the globe access to a proven technology that meets the most stringent cleanroom standards.
