AirOcare selects production manager

Published: 17-Oct-2005

US company AirOcare, which manufactures and markets air purification and sanitation systems for the agricultural, food service and medical industries, has selected Mid-South Industries to manage the production of its air purification and sanitisation equipment.

AirOcare uses a patented process that oxidises the air to kill contaminants, producing a controlled quantity of ionised oxygen, which bonds with and kills pathogens harmful to human health and fresh foods. The company currently has more than 5,000 units deployed worldwide in a range of facilities and applications. Tests have shown that the system naturally kills, on contact, airborne and surface contaminants, including organisms such as E. coli, antibiotic-resistant staph infection, MRSA, and Salmonella, as well as moulds and fungus. It can also slow ripening and spoilage of fresh foods, and is FDA and USDA approved for all these purposes.
